VETERANS MEMORIAL

About the

Originally unveiled in 2014, the George A. Ingalls Veterans Memorial Plaza is a testament to Norco’s patriotism and desire to honor the veterans who have sacrificed for our nation, including Norco residents who made the ultimate sacrifice. The Memorial Plaza is also an example of the generous spirit of the Norco community, with nearly 2 million dollars in labor and materials donated in the name of our veterans. Its setting is tranquil, yet its grandeur is impressive with black granite monoliths honoring each branch of America’s armed services and a towering 70-foot flagpole on which a massive 375-square-foot American flag proudly flies. The flagpole is surrounded by the “Circle of Honor,” which features personalized bricks recognizing veterans across the nation. At the center, a circular arbor supported by stately columns is flanked by the “Lest We Forget” walls, which feature inscribed granite tiles that honor those Norco veterans who paid the ultimate sacrifice. The additions of the POW/MIA Monument and Gold Star Families Memorial Monument further serve as a constant reminder that Norco appreciates, supports and will not forget its veterans or military families.
